Pledge Land

Dream For Trees would always rather put a tree in the ground than not, and we are always keen to find land to plant into. Our mini forests lower temperatures, buffer noise and pollution, create new, species-diverse habitats, link existing habitats, and absorb storm water run off. We ask for 30 years commitment, and three years of establishment care. If you could be the guardian of a Miyawaki mini forest, or wonder if you could, please do get in touch.

How much space does a Miyawaki forest take up?

A Miyawaki hedgerow needs no more than 3 x 20 meters, and a Miyawaki forest no more than 260 square meters. A day’s planting event assumes 20 adults planting for 4 hours, and the result is a dense, diverse forest that will grow to maturity within 30 years.

A bespoke service

We can plant to surround spaces for learning or wellness, and tailor native species choice to create a bespoke wood that exactly fits the land you have.

In choosing the species to be planted, we will take soil type and geology into account, and review those tree and shrub species nearby. We only plant native species and always use expert advice. We work to the maxim ‘Right tree for right space’.
